With this piece, I took inspiration from myself. I wanted to show how a monster on the outside could be beautiful within. I wanted to express the pain of being avoided because of how people perceived one's appearance whilst knowing of the great qualities which are hidden within. I wanted the flowers blooming to symbolise the beauty and creativity within trying to fight its’ way out whilst being held back by the fear forming as a demon mask.
