Our Story

The Incandescent International Gallery project is an international initiative focusing on providing online galleries for teenagers from countries around the world to feature art, writing, and music from their culture. Each representative country will be able to have a “micro team” that is responsible for showcasing work from their location that is able to depict the unique aspects of their culture whether through the theme, inspiration, or any other feature that reflects on their cultural experience.

Yashwin Sajja

Yashwin is a passionate junior in high school from Long Island, New York, with an interest for business, coding, and technology. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, sleeping in, and playing soccer. When relaxing, Yashwin loves immersing himself in music and may be seen listening to anything from pop to hip-hop. Apart from that, in his free time, he enjoys giving back to his community by tutoring young children and fostering a love of learning in them.

Co-Director

With a fierce passion for the arts, Jess Wang, a High School Junior from Hong Kong, is an aspiring artist that dedicates her skills to creating meaningful and creative pieces that not only, catches the eye, but also, leaves a sense of childlike wonder within the audience. During more leisure times, Jess likes going to cat cafes and playing video games. When she grows older, she wishes to fufill her dream of becoming a fulltime artist with her future cat!

Charlotte

Co-Director

As an avid reader, Charlotte Fung has always been fascinated by literature, as well as how people convey meaning and express themselves through different means. Working as one of the directors of the marketing team, she hopes to help others spread their ideas and messages to a larger audience and help their voices be heard. When not drowning in assignments, Charlotte can be found dancing to her favourite songs or drinking bubble tea.

Jackie

Executive Director

As both an artist and an art-lover, Jackie loves weaving the concept of art into the lives around her. Aspiring to become an Art Historian in the future, she hopes to share with her peers the strange yet fascinating wizardries of the arts - sculptures and paintings, manuscripts and textiles that span from the ancient civilisations to the modern wonderments. During the lazy after hours, Jackie likes to listen to Schumann - if in the mood, create some musical pieces of her own - and write stories and poems.

Shayne

Co-Director

Shayne Chong is a 15 year old Singaporean swimmer currently studying in Hong Kong. He loves programming, music, video editing, and sports. His passion for a challenge in life has led him to take up multiple leadership positions in many areas, helping him develop important skills in leadership and become a more caring person to others. During his downtime, he can be found chatting with friends while playing games, working on his personal programming projects and head-bopping to music.
